The top one is just hungry.
I usually give him treats, and he's shouting in hopes it will get him more.
The bottom one... Well, she always looks like that.
She's pretty scared of new people, though, so it's not undeserved.
But she's just got that kind of a face.

No, they're strays in my area.
My apartment doesn't allow pets.
I take care of them when I can.
I've been making sure they're all okay after last month.

I'd forgotten, but I'll remember that.
Do you want to come with me to check on them next time?

Some of them are friendlier than others.
A few of them, I won't take you to, because they're likely to attack if they don't know you.
It took me a lot of time to get them used to me.
But the friendlier ones, sure.
A couple of them have names, and a few more I've given nicknames to, at least.

That's fine. But I've gotten scratched up by cats before,
so I'm kinda used to it?
Should I bring anything? Treats?

They aren't likely to stop at scratching.
Some of them don't like people.
For good reasons.
But for the nice ones, yes, treats will likely earn you their favor instantly.

Yeah, uh, I guess I'd better stay away...
Okay, so I'll get some treats from the shop and head on over. Anything else?

They could probably use some water, if you're willing to bring a bowl for them, too.

That should be all they need, then.
There's a couple that like to hang out by the beachfront to get scraps from those going to the beach.

I think they'd like the treats a lot more than those scraps, huh?

But I'll warn you now, Briar will beg like he's starving, but I promise he's actually quite well-fed.

I'm pretty sure I've seen him steal a fish from someone who was fishing out there.
