[Ever since he got her text, he's been looking up every time the door opens. And finally, the person appearing on the other side is Ann!

He immediately rises to his feet, and his expression brightens at the sight of her.]

Ann!!

[Kurt throws his arms around her as she hugs him, and then he winces as she pulls at his cheek.]

Yow! Sorry... That's the last thing I wanted to do.

[ oh gosh, even though she sounds angry, she's actually tearing up a little at their reunion... ]

E-Everyone said you didn't exist, but I knew you did--I knew you, Kurt Wagner, and I--ugh, you big dummy!

[ she's going to hug him again, tighter this time.

she's so glad to have him back. ]

Sorry... I'm getting carried away. Uhh, we're here for donuts and coffee, right?

[Aw, Ann... He feels for her, really, and he hugs her back as tight as he can.]

I- I didn't exist? Okay, now that's weird. But... thanks for believing in me.

[He smiles warmly.]

Right, that's the reason for the season! I've got plenty of munchkins left if you want to chow down on them. [He motions towards the table, where the open box is.] And if you want anything else, it's on me! [He just wants to help her feel better.]

[ oooh those munchkins look super yummy though...Ann lets go of Kurt after a good hug and sits across from him, helping herself to one of those donuts. ]

Soooo...how was it? Being stuck in a weird version of reality?

[He gives a weak laugh as he settles back into his seat and lets Ann be fed.]

It was... a lot of things. Mostly tiring! Also very surreal. And dangerous! But a few things were fun... like, riding a unicorn wasn't so bad! [Especially after going so long without horses.]

[ WOW KURT. SHE MIGHT ACTUALLY BE JEALOUS ]

And what else? Didn't you mention something about a dragon, or was that someone else?

I totally did! And it wasn't a chocobo version either... The real deal!

And yeah, there was totally a dragon in the mix too. She tried to kill us at first, but then we got a ride home on dragonback instead!

I'm not jealous of having no phone reception or contact with the outside world, but I'm definitely jealous of getting to ride on a dragon! Geez!

For realsies! Man, if my phone hadn't died I totally would have snapped a selfie to show you!

[He'll milk whatever pride he can from the fun parts of the trip.]

It was totally awesome. ...But, yeah, it was a bit of a trade-off. It's going to take me forever to catch up on everything I missed out on around town and on the web!
