It's true, though, I never text about anything particularly compromising. [wow that's a bold statement aizawa are you sure about that......anyway--] That curious now, are you? But I guess getting out of context messages about lost boats out of the blue doesn't happen every day.

If you really have to know, it belonged to a friend of mine. Zoro. It doubles as his house so it's especially unfortunate really...

I think it is Retrospec's fault. I've been getting a bunch of accidental texts from other people, too.

Is there ever a month where Retrospec doesn't have technical difficulties of some kind? Or maybe this is intentional, for all we know...

So you know him too, that's fair. From what I could see and hear he was telling a lot of people about it last month, yes, being exceptionally upset about it. [can't blame him either tbh...] But yes, that was his residency until recently. And yes, it's back...in a very tenuous sense.

The boats falling from the sky must be Retrospec-related for certain though, yes. Apparently Zoro's boat and many others were eaten by the same thing that swallowed the ocean last month...if I had to take a guess, I'm assuming all the boats dropping from the sky are those selfsame boats now.

Pretty delayed reaction, though. You'd think they'd have all come back immediately after the monster was destroyed, same as the ocean....

What the heck... What is Retrospec doing? You know, I bet the monsters were totally on purpose! Seriously! I know it sounds crazy but they seemed like they gave us those powers from those QR codes because they knew this was gonna happen.

The only logic that I use anymore is just, "It's a Retrospec thing." Or something like that.

That's a possibility, isn't it? The QR codes were certainly very suspect...though then again, the few personnel my own team got to interact with seemed to have been caught just as off guard as the rest of us. If you ask me I've been starting to think it might be a little bit of both....ergo, somebody in their ranks set that off without warning anyone about it, either on our end or theirs.

That logic seems just as good as any other about now, but even then that's terribly illogical on principle. It'd be nice if they could actually be rational for once. At least a month...I'm not entirely sure I've been without a headache since the month I got this app.

Yeah, it must've been someone doing this all without letting them know. But I'm sure it was Retrospec! That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

Man...I just wanna know why they've only picked a select group of people, too. If this is really just some kind of simulation like people are saying it is, then why is everyone else oblivious?

It's a solid theory to have. I've half a mind to back you up on it, really...but I suppose there won't be any way to get any confirmations on our ideas for a long time yet.

The finer details of that really do escape me too. There's a lot of variables here that are still unaccounted for...it feels like last month raised more questions than answers, really.

[Maybe that's why it felt like such a Bad Time the whole time...at least for Aizawa, who likes rationalizing his way to answers with the facts available. But fact and fiction were kind of...really bleeding together for the entirety of August. Awful.

Come to think of it, this is the first we've talked since all that, isn't it? I was meaning to touch base at some point...things have just been busy. But I guess now it's happening either way, even if it had to be accidental. How have you been doing lately, Takamaki?

No...not yet, anyway. It's gonna be a while, I'm guessing. But we'll get there.

A lot of things don't make sense right now, but I think we'll get the answers we're looking for. We just need to work for it, I think, instead of sitting back and letting things happen all the time, y'know?

It is! Thanks for thinking of me, Mr. Aizawa! I'm doing pretty well, all things considered. This Retrospec stuff is still a huge adjustment, obviously. How about you? How are the kids this semester?

Being proactive certainly feels nicer than sitting around doing nothing and feeling helpless, probably...

But good, I'm glad to hear it. I'm doing about as well as can be expected, myself...had a tight squeeze trying to get everything sorted before classes started [considering most of what should have been a prep month ended up getting derailed by Ridiculous Monster Nonsense THANKS RETROSPEC] but everything's been going about as normal as expected so far, surprisingly. The kids this semester are about as terrible at math as ever, but that's par for the course. Got a year to shape them up.

You're attending college by now, aren't you? Nothing odd's been going on at the university since last month, has there? I wonder if that basement's still accessible at all, actually...
